Award

Linda Dickson first stood up in front of an audience to sing traditional music at the age of 15. That was at the Cellar Club in Ashington, Northumberland. Since then she has continued to sing in numerous collaborations and as a solo singer, across a span of four decades and a changing folk scene.

Linda has sung in harmony duos and quartets as well as fronting folk/rock bands and an Irish folk band. She has been part of two longstanding partnerships, the first with talented guitarist Pete Smale, in the duo”Laissez Faire” and more recently with singer /songwriter, Pete Willow, in” Out of Hand”

Linda was recently nominated for an award for her outstanding contribution to West Midlands Folk/Traditional Arts. The link to the left shows this.
